After midnight on 22nd November 2011, such marriages of malt whiskies from more than one distillery will have to be labelled as Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. This aristocratic whisky is made from a marriage of fine, old single malt whiskies from Islay and Speyside distilleries. It combines intense aromas and flavours of dried fruits and maltiness underscored by a subtle, sweet smokiness, all robed in the revealing signs of whiskies of antiquity. An infusion made of smooth, sweet Scotch whisky infused with the hand-zested peel of Navalino oranges and subtle accents of Indonesian cassia bark and Sri Lankan cloves.
Our 2009 bottling is comprised of just 14 carefully-selected, first-fill American oak casks. The whisky derives depth and complexity from 29-year-old Carsebridge, while 18-year-old Cambus and 14-year-old Cameronbridge provide a sweet, fruit structure. Hedonism's signature finish is long and full of vanilla cream, toffee and a touch of coconut.
